Sunrise Elopement in Joshua Tree
Golden light and lots of love
Located just a few hours outside of LA and only an hour from Palm Springs the desert wonderland that is Joshua Tree is a unique elopement destination. Here you can enjoy some of the most incredible sunrises and sunsets this world has to offer. Watch as the golden light spreads across the desert landscape complete with towering rock formations and unique Yucca Plants. It’s no wonder couples all over the united states chose to elope here.
These two definitely made the right choice of destination! Ally and Christian were an absolute joy to work with! A quick glance at their photos and it’s easy to see just how much they love each other, and how much we had on this shoot. Their chilly pre-dawn ceremony at Cap Rock started the day off on a good foot. As we shot we watched the sunlight slowly spread until it graced us with its warmth. From there we hiked out to Ryan’s Mountain to change up the scenery and take advantage of the rest of the morning light. But the grand finale of the day was the stunning sunset shoot at Barker Dam among the rolling boulders that were painted gold by the setting sun. Everywhere we went was an adventure of romance and creativity. Joshua Tree is certainly one of California’s best elopement destinations.
