Rainy Swinging Bridge Elopement in Fall

How to make the most of rain on your wedding day

While rain may not be the wedding guest you wanted, it doesn’t have to ruin your elopement. Grab a clear umbrella, a jacket and stay close together. Those cozy shots with the storm raging around you are often some of my couples favorite shots. That’s what these two did for their ceremony at Yosemite’s swinging bridge. And the shots of them on the bridge are just incredible.

But It also helps to work with an elopement photographer willing to be flexible on your wedding day. With the storm forecasted to come in on their wedding day we opted to do most of their shoot the day prior. When planning your wedding in the national parks you never know what’s going to happen so I try to be as flexible as possible. We journeyed from the valley floor to the north rim and my favorite spot Olmsted Point for sunset.
