Marymere Falls, OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK ELOPEMENT DESTINATION

Romantic shot of newlyweds staring into each others eyes

A Gorgeous waterfall, Lush forests, and picturesque bridges

Other rainforests in Olympic National Park get most peoples attentions but one the best places to say I do is along the Marymere Falls trail. The trailhead begins at the Storm King Ranger station on Lake crescent and ventures under the road and into the rainforest. Just a short hike through these old growth forests along a babbling creek will take you to a spectacular waterfall. But that’s not all thats here, With rustic iron bridges, an incredible creek side trail and more open space to work with than Hoh this trail is a great elopement destination. It is easy to do and offers a little bit of almost everything that makes the Olympic Peninsula so special. If you only have time for one stop on your elopement adventure this is the place. As with many locations in the park come early for the best experience! There’s not a ton of room for a big wedding party but if you have a small group or it is just the two of you it’s a great option.

Why I love Marymere Falls for Elopements

One of the struggles that other forests in the park have is the lack of space to maneuver. You’re on a trail and can’t venture off it so getting the right angle can be a challenge. Here in Marymere there’s a section of more open forest off the main trail and it is just perfect for getting those wide forest shots. And since it is a side trail few if any will interrupt your session. Doesn’t hurt that the jaw dropping Lake Crescent is also nearby!
